About Trailways Council

Over 13,330 members from Grundy, Kankakee and Will Counties, Marseilles and Seneca in LaSalle County and Lemont in Cook County are what makes up Trailways Council.

  • We are all considered Girl Scouts - Daisy Girl Scouts through Adult Girl Scouts
  • We are not part of the Boy Scout organization. When speaking or writing, always refer to us as Girl Scouts - not simply Scouts.
  • All girls can join! This includes those whose families can not afford membership fees and other troop-related expenses. Trailways Girl Scout Council, Inc. believes that we must reach out to ensure that our program includes our diverse and rapidly growing population.

The Girl Scout Personality

The Girl Scout personality can be described in words that characterize who we are, what we believe in, and how we act. Our personality is organic, and is constantly growing and evolving. We need to emphasize those qualities of our personality that better represent how we really are today.
